Where you come from matters, and even more so when you are the child of two nations. I wanted to ensure that I gave a place and platform for the players with Tongan and Fijian heritage to rep their heritage. In a fun and comfortable way, we tapped into their favourite food and songs and what it means to rep two nations. Because of my background, it allowed me to show up with the knowledge and understanding (and humour) to meet them where they were at in an authentic way.
