BORDEAUX WORLD CHAMPIONS

What do you think of when you think of Sevens? Once upon a time, it was where you could tour Europe, hopping from city to city with travelling fans, or have a big weekend out because your city is hosting it.

Invited by World Sevens Series, we were lucky enough to see Sevens return home to Europe in Bordeaux. A city known for its culture and wine, but in the rugby world as the city of lights. The fan culture was something I really wanted to capture - the music, their food favourites - and then speaking with players so that fans can actually sit and listen to them talk - their banter with each other, in-camp insights, their off pitch lives. Meaningful content for them and building bridges, as well as showing that the party is making its way back in Sevens (beyond Hong Kong of course).
